I am a second-year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and am majoring in Marine Science within the College of Creative Studies. I am interested in all things ocean, particularly fisheries, conservation, and ecology.
At UCSB, I am actively involved as an informal science educator at the Research Experience and Education Facility (REEF), where we help create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for students, families, and the broader community. Through this role, I am passionate about making marine science accessible, interactive, and meaningful for people of all backgrounds. I am also a member of the Cheadle Center Aquatic Invertebrate Lab where we help to restore marine ecosystems through data collection and analysis.
I am especially interested in marine conservation and science communication, with the goal of bridging the gap between scientific research and public understanding. I hope to continue pursuing opportunities in research, education, and outreach in order to support ocean conservation and inspire others to connect with and protect marine environments.
